Cocoa Nibs

I received a bag of cocoa nibs as a gift. What are they and how can I use them?

Cocoa nibs are roasted and crushed cocoa beans – the same thing chocolate is made from.  They can be used as a sprinkle or like finely chopped nuts, but don’t overdo it or they might impart a bitter taste as they are not sweetened.
